Featured town/village

Kingsley derives its name from the King’s Lea, a meadow or pasture. It was once a clearing between the forests of Alice Holt to the North and Woolmer to the South. Both forests were popular hunting grounds of the medieval kings, and it is said that there was a royal hunting lodge at Lode Farm close to the church.
